1. The North West Department of Health is supporting the establishment of Local AIDS Council offices with two full-time officials with computer facilities. The Provincial Council on AIDS has declared support for making computer facilities accessible local organisations. The Coalition is negotiating to have refurbished PCs with Internet access in each LAC office, to make this vision a practical reality.

3. The Sapler Population Trust has pioneered the use of full time community sex educators in secondary schools, working under the management of the guidance counsellor. There are now schools where the annual number of learners' pregnancies (the simplest measure of responsibility) is very low. At Ngaka Maseko High School, Guidance teacher Ms Bontleng Mosweu (one pregnancy among 1200 grade 10,11 and 12 learners in 2000) is documenting her programme to share with others.
