Being taught how to prevent pregnancy was mentioned by a large number of learners, often in conjunction with STDs and HIV/AIDS (e.g. f15g "They teach us how can we safe ourselves from all diseases and not fall pregnant").

Particularly many learners from school H mentioned pregnancy, but again without much elaboration. Two exceptions were the following:

g40g     "About teenagers who fall pregnant at a very young age"

i35g     "I’ve learn that sex is not God because we can get pregnant and it is not right"

A few learners expressed a need to learn more about pregnancy as such. Several others asked detailed questions suggesting they may not feel sufficiently well informed about the process of conception:

a1g     "What is it that if you had sex yesterday and menstruate the following day. Is it a sickness?"
a5g     "What was happened if a girl slept with a boy without using a condom and never fall pregnant"
c43g     "I want to learn about Menstruation and Sexual Transmitted disease"
a19g     "I want to know how did you get baby if you are HIV positive"
g11g     "Family planning and menstruation more than anything"
g32g     "How to take a virginity test"
